Pen Pals from Winnipeg

We have acquired Pen pals from Winnipeg, these students attend Churchill High School and range in grade from 9-12. We sent letters to them at the beginning of March and have already received a reply! The Churchill students sent us return letters, fruit snacks, little school tattoos, a few recipes and activity booklets. We are trying one of the recipes today and have made key chains from parachute cord to give to them. The idea of the pen pals is to practice our writing and make connections outside our community. The class from Winnipeg are involved in a Foods and Nutrition course and we are going to try and make a recipe book together. We sent them some pictures of our class to match to the letters and they guessed Jillian, Ethan, and Clarke right! Now we have to try and match their pictures to their letters! The students in our class have really enjoyed writing and receiving letters, it has been a fun experience!
